Maternity & Children Expo

Back in KL in time for the bargain hunt at the 2nd Maternity & Children Expo held from 18-20 November 2011 at Mid Valley. It’s surely a tempting sale! Although I had just shopped at The Parenthood Fair last weekend in Singapore, this one was an awesome SALE as well!

I was looking for toys for Sophia, and ELC has the best or shall I say irresistible discounts even after conversion in pounds! Although many toys on sale were for older babies (>18 months), I’ve bought two ELC toys for Sophia – which I hope she likes it and not get bore with them easily!

That’s also one of my main shopping list in this fair! There was Parklon’s Winnie The Pooh design which I find the design too loud (for my liking). At the other side of the hall (can’t remember the booth name) also selling similar products and also Korean made with lighter soothing colours and design on Peter Rabbit. The price? Cheaper than Parklon by RM50! Oh did I mentioned it was the LAST PIECE?

These soft play mat becomes a necessity for protecting Sophia from her careless and clumsy falls on the hard floor at home. The most serious and recent incident of her fall was two days ago from our bed off to on the wooden floor! She must have landed in a bad angle or scrape herself at edge of the bed. When I rushed in to the room hearing her cries, I found her on the ground with blood gushing out from her nose. I was terrified, so was my mom who was there at the incident. After cleaning her blood, coo her down … Sophia was back into her jolly self (a relief to see her ok) while I inspect her injury and applying some Buds First Aid lotion on her wound.

So during the Parenthood Fair last weekend, I bought her the Parklon Fisher Price soft play mat at $140. She had a few tumble but no cries at all as she has softer landing. Hubby and I agree that this is a MUST have item at home for our little girl! So I bought another soft mat, RM350 (Peter Rabbit) today at the Maternity & Children Expo.

I’ve always love Buds Organic products and what’s not to love that all items are on 20% OFF! Just what I need to buy in preparation for Sophia’s first winter in Houston :) The Froze Defence and Pukka Pucker Lip Balm. Also trying new brand ~ Nature’s Baby Organics. All products at RM25 each, and their package deals are sweet too from RM70. Love the smell of vanilla tangerine in their shampoo & body wash as my first try on their products. The sales girl also higher recommended the Ah-Choo Chest Rub made from Eucalyptus which is their “best seller”. Will review their products over Christmas :)

Great discount on the Tommee Tippee sippy cup and stackable food container! And been looking for ice packs too! Autumnz selling at RM16 for 3 pcs.
Thermos was having a special promo price for their cartoon character food jar at RM68 (free Thermos cooler jar). I’m not a fan of Dora neither does Sophia know who the character is at this age … but it’s a great bargain – Why not!? :)

Sophia gets a set of clothes from Mothercare at 50% discount! Finally something for mommy – 2 nursing tank top from Autumnz! :)

Been meaning to get a baby monitor for the longest time ~ due to budget constraint! It’s the most expensive spending of all the loot, but I guess for something that will ease me in taking care of Sophia when I’m alone. No more running back & forth checking on her every 5 minutes and gets paranoid each time I thought I hear a whimper!  

Phweh …. There goes a huge HOLE IN THE POCKET in just one day!!

Thank goodness for my sister who is patient to babysit Sophia and so ever helpful with carrying these loads of shopping spree and wriggle through the crowd! Muacks!!
